Acupuncture Treatment (Physician-Assessed Pain and Function Support)
What Is Acupuncture Treatment?
Acupuncture is a complementary approach in which specific points are stimulated with fine, sterile, single-use needles. It is not planned without reviewing the person’s medical history and examination findings; when appropriate, it may be considered alongside standard medical care and an exercise programme.
When may it be considered?
It may be considered as part of an individual plan for musculoskeletal pain, neck and low-back symptoms, pain that limits movement or a need for support during recovery. Suitability is determined by diagnosis and clinical need; it does not replace urgent assessment for concerning symptoms.
