This assessment considers standing posture, gait, joint movement, muscle balance and everyday movement habits together. It does not diagnose a disease on its own; it is an assessment approach that complements the clinical examination.
When Is It Useful?
It may be used for recurrent neck, back or low-back pain, a feeling of imbalance around the shoulders or hips, walking problems, return after sports injury and ergonomic needs. Findings are interpreted alongside the person's symptoms and medical history.
The Assessment Process
Observation and tests of joint range, muscle strength and flexibility, balance, gait and functional movement are selected individually. Imaging, neurological assessment or another specialist opinion may be requested when needed. Based on the findings, the plan may include exercise, ergonomic advice, manual techniques, an orthotic assessment or other rehabilitation options.
This page provides general information and is not a personal diagnosis or treatment recommendation. Assessment and treatment are planned individually by a physician.
