Rehabilitation is an individual process designed to reduce pain, movement limitation and difficulty with daily activities that may arise after a health condition, injury or surgery. The goal is to support not only symptoms, but also safe movement, independence and everyday goals.
Initial assessment and goals
The physician evaluates pain level, joint range of motion, muscle strength, balance, posture, daily-life needs and, where available, imaging findings. Short- and long-term goals are set together after this assessment.
An individual programme
An appropriate programme may include therapeutic exercise, movement education, posture and ergonomics recommendations, pain management, a home programme and a plan for a safe return to activity. Its content, intensity and rate of progression are adjusted to the person’s clinical condition.
Follow-up and safety
Recovery is reviewed regularly; the plan is reassessed if there are new findings, increasing pain or a change in function. Coordination with other health disciplines is arranged when needed.
Important: All assessments and procedures within this service are performed under physician supervision. The information on this page is for general education and does not replace an individual diagnosis or treatment recommendation.
